Produce: Remove Filler Words Smart Filter

What the Remove Remove Filler Words Smart Filter does and how to Produce/create your podcast using this filter after recording.

Updated over a week ago

Zencastr Produce is a paid feature that enhances and mixes together the separate audio (and video) files for you and your guests into a combined file.

The Remove Filler Words Smart Filter is an option available to users on paid plans for English-language recordings.

In this article:

What Is Remove Filler Words And Why Use It?

Remove Filler Words is a Smart Filter that searches your and your guests’ audio for common English-language filler words such as “um” and “ah” and cuts some instances of those words in the final audio mix. The filter is fine-tuned to only remove instances of those words that are not adjacent to other speech to ensure that transitions sound natural and to avoid creating sharp cuts.

Using the Remove Filler Words filter can save you significant editing time and add polish to your recording by automatically making cuts to your combined audio (and video files) to reduce unwanted filler words. Without this filter, you would need to make these cuts manually in an audio or video editing software program outside of Zencastr.
