ZenAI can automatically remove common filler words and shorten long pauses in your recording. You can choose which types of cleanup to apply and customize how long pauses are shortened.
Note: ZenAI changes are applied when postproduction is complete and may not appear immediately in the Editor.
Removing filler words and pauses
Follow the instructions below to remove filler words or any pauses from your recording.
Click Library from the left navigation menu.
From the Recordings tab find the recording you’d like to edit and click the three-dot menu.
Click Edit.
Click the Controls icon.
In the sidebar that appears, scroll down to the Zencaster AI section.
Under Audio, turn on any of the following options:
Remove Advanced Filler Words: removes words like “you know,” “like,” and “I mean.”
Remove Um's + Ah's: removes hesitation sounds.
Remove Long Pauses: Shortens pauses based on the settings you choose.
If you turn on Remove Long Pauses, configure:
Long Pause Threshold: how long a pause must be (in seconds) before it is considered a long pause.
Shorten To: the length pauses are trimmed down to (in seconds).
If you need to undo your changes, click Undo in the upper right corner. Click Redo to reapply a change.
Once postproduction is complete, your changes will be applied
