The layouts available in the Editor depend on the number of active participants in your video. As you turn participants on or off under Controls > Participants, the available layouts update automatically to show options that support the current participant count.
Note: Layout availability can vary by recording and may change as new templates are added.
Available templates by participant count
The following layout templates are available to you based on the amount of participants in your video.
1 participant
Speaker layouts: Solo
Other options: Upload, Show Art
Predefined templates: Pastel Gradient, Forest Gradient, Collide, Heat Bloom, Bokeh.
2 participants
Speaker layouts: Active Speaker, Zen, Vertical, Horizontal
Other options: Upload, Show Art
Predefined templates: Pastel Gradient, Forest Gradient, Collide, Heat Bloom
3 participants
Speaker layouts: Active Speaker, Zen, Side Grid
Other options: Saved Settings, Upload, Show Art

How layout availability changes
Always available: Upload, Show Art, and the Predefined Templates such as Pastel Gradient, Forest Gradient, Collide, Heat Bloom (Bokeh, Dreamwave, and Open Skies appear in some contexts).
Speaker layouts change with participant count: Solo is available for one participant, while Active Speaker and Zen are available for two or more.
Two-person layouts: Vertical and Horizontal are available only for two participants.
Group layouts expand with participant count: Side Grid is available for 3–6 participants, Side Grid 2 Focused for 5–6 participants, and Symmetry for 4 or 6 participants. The Dreamwave predefined template is available for 6 participants.
Saved Settings shows when you have saved settings compatible with the current count; a saved custom template can also appear for the counts it supports.
