Use Call Settings to choose your audio and video devices and adjust recording quality before the recording starts. Setting up your devices and recording preferences before you begin can help prevent audio issues, echo, and poor video quality.
Recommended: Use wired headphones and a dedicated microphone when possible. Keep Echo Cancellation off when everyone is using headphones.
Configuring your call settings
Follow the instructions below to set up your call settings.
In your Room, click the Call Settings button on the upper right corner of your screen.
In the pop-up that appears you can adjust the following settings:
Audio Input: Choose the microphone (USB or headset) you want to use.
Audio Output: Choose your headphones or speakers. Headphones can help prevent echo.
Camera: Choose the camera you want to use for video recording.
Maximum Resolution: Set the maximum video resolution, up to 4K. Lower the resolution if your device or connection is struggling.
Monitor: Turn on to hear your own voice while recording, or leave off if you don’t need live monitoring.
Echo Cancellation: Leave off when everyone is using headphones. Turn on if someone needs to use speakers.
Built-in VoIP: Keep enabled. Disable it only if you’re using a third-party VoIP service, such as Zoom.
When you’re finished, click Done.
Note: Choose or change your devices before you start recording. Switching devices during a recording can interrupt the track. |
