Select Monthly vs. Yearly Billing

Monthly vs. Yearly Billing

All paid plans can be subscribed to with either monthly or yearly billing. With monthly billing, your card is charged the subscription price for the month, and the plan renews on a monthly basis. With yearly billing, your card is charged the full subscription price for the entire year upfront, and the plan renews annually.

How To Select Monthly vs. Yearly Billing

On the pricing page, make sure the Monthly/Yearly toggle is set to the billing cycle you would like before you select the plan and enter card information.

If you have already paid for a monthly or yearly plan and would like to change the billing cycle, you can do so from the Payment tab of your account page. Or, contact Zencastr Support via chat or email ([email protected]) and we will be happy to help you. When contacting us via email, please send any requests for changes from the email address registered to your Zencastr account.

If you are upgrading from a lower-value paid plan to a higher-value paid plan, your card will be charged the cost of the higher-value paid plan minus a proration for any unused time on the lower-value paid plan, if applicable. Your account features become those of the higher-value plan immediately.

Downgrade/Cancel Your Paid Plan

What Downgrading/Canceling Is

Downgrading or canceling your plan means changing it from a higher-value plan to a lower-value plan. For example, For example, changing your plan from the Professional plan to the hosting-only Hobbyist plan. Or changing your plan from the Growth plan to the Professional plan.

When A Plan Downgrade/Cancelation Takes Effect

The effective date of a cancelation depends on your account’s plan and status at the time of canceling.

If you are canceling a free trial of a paid plan, the change takes effect immediately and your account features become those of the free, hosting-only Hobbyist plan right away.

If you are canceling a paid plan, your card stops being charged for the cost of the paid plan immediately, but the downgrade is scheduled for the end of your current billing cycle. This ensures that you retain access to your paid plan features through the period for which you paid for them. At the end of your billing cycle, the plan downgrade takes effect automatically and your account features change to those of a free, hosting-only Hobbyist plan.
