How to update your account image, description, display name, username, and email address as well as how to log out of your account.

Accessing Account Information

To access your account settings:

  1. On your Dashboard, click your avatar on the bottom of the left sidebar menu.

  2. Select Settings from the menu.

Changing Avatar (Profile Image)

Your avatar (profile image) appears on your Dashboard and your Zencastr page.

To change your avatar:

  1. On your Dashboard, click your avatar on the bottom of the left sidebar menu.

  2. Select Settings from the menu.

  3. On the Account tab, hover over your avatar and click Reupload.

  4. Select or drag and drop a jpg, jpeg, or png file from your computer.

  5. Adjust the image as necessary.

  6. Click Done.

Changing Description

Your description appears on your Zencastr page.

To change your description:

  1. On your Dashboard, click your avatar on the bottom of the left sidebar menu.

  2. Select Settings from the menu.

  3. On the Account tab, enter or edit your description in the description field.

  4. Click Save.

Changing Display Name

Your display name is how your name appears to other participants on a Recording Page. It also shows on your Zencastr page.

To change your display name:

  1. On your Dashboard, click your avatar on the bottom of the left sidebar menu.

  2. Select Settings from the menu.

  3. On the Account tab, enter or edit your display name in the display name field.

  4. Click Save.

Changing Email Address

Your email address allows you to log in to your account and reset your password. It is used to send you emails about your account and receipts when you purchase postproduction credits or a paid subscription plan.

If you would like to change your account email address or add an email address for receipt purposes, please contact Zencastr Support via chat or email.

Changing Username

Your username allows you to log in to your account. It is also part of the recording link for each session; links are formatted as https://recording.zencastr.com/[username]/[session name].

If you would like to change your username, please contact Zencastr Support via chat or email. Please provide three options of between 3 and 20 characters, listed in your order of preference, in case your top choice is not available.

Logging Out

To log out of your account:

  1. On your Dashboard, click your avatar on the bottom of the left sidebar menu.

  2. Select Log Out from the menu.
