When you create a new show on Zencastr, your email address is hidden by default on your podcast’s RSS feed. This measure safeguards against unwanted emails from marketers or spammers, who often scrape public RSS feeds to obtain email addresses.
However, certain podcast directories require an email address for verification purposes when listing your podcast on their apps. You can edit your podcast’s settings to display your email address on your RSS feed for submission to directories, like Spotify, that require it.
To display your email address on your Zencastr RSS feed:
Log into your Zencastr account.
On your Dashboard, click the Episodes tab on the left sidebar menu.
Click the Edit button to the right of the show title.
Click Open Advanced Settings.
Next to Show Email, click Yes.
Click the Save button.
Result: Your email address is displayed in your RSS feed within a few minutes.
After your podcast has been successfully listed on the directory, you can hide your email address on your RSS feed again.
If you need to change the email address on your RSS feed altogether, please contact Zencastr Support via chat or email.
