Zencastr Clips is a paid feature that transforms longer-form content into several shorter video clips optimized for a variety of social media platforms. Clips supports content in English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish. With AI Clipping, Zencastr’s AI selects the best moments for you, while Manual Clipping lets you choose segments yourself.
Once you have created clips, you can connect your social media accounts and post clips directly to supported platforms from Zencastr.
Connecting social media accounts and posting to them is only available on active Grow, Scale, and Business plans. This functionality is not accessible on the trial versions of these plans.
In this article:
Before You Post - Important Points
Which social media platforms you can connect and post clips to depends on your plan.
The Grow plan allows you to post to Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
The Scale and Business plans allow you to post to Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter).
Auto scheduling is available on the Scale and Business plans.
Edit your clips before posting them. Once a clip is posted, edits must be made manually on the social media platforms.
Clips can only be posted once through Zencastr, so choose all desired platforms before posting. If you decide to post to additional platforms later, you’ll need to upload the clip manually, as social media platforms restrict reposting the same content.

Auto Scheduling a Clip

Archiving Clips and Removing Posts
Archiving a clip removes it from your main Clips list in Zencastr and, if it has been posted, also deletes the post from certain social media platforms. Posts on Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and X (formerly Twitter) will be removed automatically when the clip is archived. However, Instagram Reels and TikTok do not allow third-party apps to delete posts, so if you need to remove a clip from these platforms, you must do so directly within these platforms.
To archive a clip (and delete it from Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and/or X if has been posted there):
On your Dashboard, click the Clips tab on the left sidebar menu.
Click the clip grouping that contains the clip.
Locate the clip and click the Archive button below it.
Read the archive terms and type the clip name in the confirmation field.
Click the I understand, archive button.
Result: A message indicates that your clip has been archived.
