How to configure the Remove Long Pauses Smart Filter to automatically shorten silences when editing your content with Zencastr Editing.

Updated over a month ago

Zencastr Editing is a paid feature that enhances and combines your separate recorded audio and video files into a polished, mixed file. The Remove Long Pauses Smart Filter is an AI-powered tool within the Editor that automatically detects and shortens lengthy pauses, reducing unnecessary silence and making your editing process faster and more efficient.

In this article:

What Is Remove Long Pauses And Why Use It?

Remove Long Pauses is a Smart Filter designed to automatically shorten pauses in your recording, saving you significant editing time. It scans the combined audio of you and your guests, identifying any pauses that are equal to or longer than the threshold you set, and trims them down to a length of your choosing.

By using this filter, you can easily reduce periods of silence in both audio and video files without needing to manually trim each pause in external software. This helps create a smoother, more polished final mix, allowing you to focus on content rather than time-consuming edits.
