Zencastr automatically generates a transcript of your recording. Transcripts are timestamped, speaker-labeled, and available as a CSV or TXT download, or you can copy the text directly.
Note: Transcription is currently supported for the following languages: English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch; Flemish.
How transcriptions work
When you stop a recording, your transcript starts processing. All participants need to stay in the room until their files finish uploading, once that's done, they can leave and the transcript keeps processing in the background. You can come back to the recording room anytime afterward to download the transcript.
Downloading transcripts from a recording
Follow the instructions below to download the transcript from a recording.
From Recent Chats in the left navigation menu, find the recording room chat with the recording you’d like to use and click on it.
Click Join Recording Room in the upper right corner.
In the recording room, the transcript track shows your options for downloading the transcript.
You can download via CSV, TXT, or copy the transcript.
