Archiving removes an episode from your main Library view without deleting it, and you can unarchive it at any time. Archiving a published episode also affects where it appears publicly.
What happens to published episodes
A published episode appears in two places:
Your Zencastr profile page, where anyone who visits can see it.
Any platforms where you distribute your podcast, such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or YouTube.
When you archive a published episode, it's removed from both places. When you unarchive it, Zencastr automatically adds it back to both.
Draft and scheduled episodes haven't been published, so archiving them only removes them from your main Library view. A scheduled episode doesn't publish while it's archived, but if you unarchive it before its scheduled date, it keeps its schedule and publishes on that date.
Archiving episodes
Follow the instructions below to archive an episode.
Click Library from the left navigation menu.
Click the Episodes tab.
Find the episode you want to archive and click the three-dot menu.
Click Archive.
Note: Archiving a published episode removes it from public access. The episode will no longer be publicly available until you unarchive it.
In the pop-up that appears, type delete and click I understand, archive.
Unarchiving episodes
Follow the instructions below to unarchive an episode.
Click Library from the left navigation menu.
Click the Episodes tab.
Click the Archived tab.
Find the episode you want to unarchive and click the three-dot menu.
Click Unarchive.
If the episode was previously published, Zencastr automatically adds it back to your profile page and your connected platforms. If the episode was scheduled and its date hasn't passed, it keeps its schedule and publishes on that date.
