Zencastr is rolling out a new recording experience. If this is the version you’re using, you’re in the right place. If the green room looks different, see this article instead.
The green room is where you check your camera, microphone, and speaker before entering the recording room.
Get set up in the green room
Follow the instructions below to prepare for the recording.
Open your invite link.
Click Allow to give Zencastr access to your camera and microphone.
Enter your name.
Click the ^ button next to the Microphone icon to review your microphone and speaker selections.
Click the ^ button next to the Camera icon to review your camera selection.
When you’re ready, click Join now to enter the recording room.
Tip: Wear headphones and make sure you’ve selected the microphone you want to record with before joining.
In the recording room
Once you join the recording room, you can:
Review or change your camera, microphone, and speaker selections. Once the recording starts you’ll only be able to change your speaker settings.
Turn on/off your camera and mute/unmute your microphone.
Raise your hand and use Messages to chat with other participants.
The host controls the recording itself. Guests can’t start or stop the recording, manage other participants, or change the recording mode.
