The green room is where you check your camera, microphone, and speaker before entering the recording room. In this article, you’ll learn how to join a recording from the guest green room using Zencastr in Chrome on your Android device.
Note: If you’re using an iPhone or iPad, use the Zencastr iOS app and follow the instructions for Zencastr iOS app: The guest green room instead.
Entering the guest green room
Tip: Wear headphones and make sure you’ve selected the microphone you want to record with before joining.
Follow the instructions below to join with a recording link.
Tap on the invite link.
Tap Allow to give Zencastr access to your camera and microphone.
Enter your name.
Tap the ^ button next to the Microphone icon to choose your microphone and speaker.
Tap the ^ button next to the Camera icon to choose your camera.
When you’re ready, tap Join now to enter the recording room.
In the recording room
Once you join the recording room, you can:
Review your audio and video selections by tapping the Settings icon. Once the recording starts you won’t be able to change these settings.
Turn on/off your camera and mute/unmute your microphone.
Raise your hand and use Messages to chat with other participants.
The host controls the recording itself. Guests can’t start or stop the recording, manage other participants, or change the recording mode.
