You can choose the shape of your recording based on where you'll publish. Different platforms and content formats work best with different aspect ratios. Choosing the right one helps your recording fit the space where you plan to publish it.
Tip: Choose your aspect ratio based on where you plan to share the recording:
16:9 for widescreen, such as YouTube.
1:1 for square social feeds.
9:16 for vertical, such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, or TikTok.
Choosing the aspect ratio
Follow the instructions below to set the aspect ratio for your recording.
Click Library from the left navigation menu.
From the Recordings tab, choose the recording you’d like to edit and click the three-dot menu.
Click Edit.
Click the aspect ratio icon.
You’ll have the following options:
16:9 (widescreen)
1:1 (square)
9:16 (vertical).
Once you’ve selected your aspect ratio your changes will be saved automatically.
If you need to undo your changes, click Undo in the upper right corner. Click Redo to reapply a change.
